Women’s Power Symposium

Co-sponsors Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., CLC’s Sister to Sister, and CLC’s Women’s Center will hold this half-day symposium on improving physical and mental health to empower young women. Participate in workshops on Fitness, Self-Defense, Sexual Violence Awareness, and more! Registration fee is $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. This year’s leadership conference “Women Working Toward Success” will offer dynamic presentations and encourage thoughtful discussion on ways women can step into leadership roles in education, business, and politics. Share ideas on how women can be their “sister’s keeper” by supporting women’s development.

The Women’s Center partners with Lake County’s Zacharias Sexual Abuse Center and CLC Police to provide basic training on sexual assault awareness and self-defense on Friday, March 9th from Noon-1:30. Please RSVP to the Women’s Center, Ext. 2771, by March 8.
